• The final exam will be held in Gilmer 130 from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Saturday, May 3rd

• The github repo for this course will continue to remain a public repository
  • The license that the repository is released under (CC BY-SA) means it is permanently released into the public domain (albeit with a few restrictions)
• However, this semester's materials will be archived into a branch named "spring-2014" (or similar)
• So if you look at it in the future, things may look different
  • You can either use the then-current version, or change back to the spring-2014 branch
  • There are no expected significant changes to the course content planned for next year
  • But I am going to move a bunch of things around
• Note that your currently cloned (checked out) version of the github repo is the "master" branch, which is the branch that will change with future semesters
  • Some things specific to this semester will only live on in the spring-2014 branch, and will be removed from the master branch
• You can clone a specific branch via:

CS major and minor application deadlines

• If currently a BS CpE or BS CS, you can switch any time between the two majors (or declare one as a second major)
• Feb 17: application deadline for existing non-CS/CpE SEAS majors trying to transfer into CS/CpE, including those wanting a double major
• Mar 1: application deadline for the CS minor; this is restricted to SEAS majors only; CLAS students cannot apply for the minor
• Mar 17: application deadline for the BA CS(no SEAS majors can apply for this), including CLAS students wanting to double major in BA CS
• If you are in CLAS, and you want to transfer into SEAS into CS/CpE, then you follow the SEAS dean's office transfer deadline and procedure; contact them for details
• SEAS first-years apply with everybody else (due Mar 24)

• Registration issues: a new lab opened up, AND registraion restrictions removed AND the lab registration cap was (finally) raised

  • A max of 45 can be registered for the Olsson 001 labs (and a max of 14 for the Rice 340 lab)
